Fables 13

Earlier Fables prelims such as this one were often 8.5" x 11".  Now JJ seems to prefer a smaller, tighter sketch, and newer prelims are more commonly 5.5" x 8.5".  This prelim is noteworthy in James' use of watercolor.  This may be the only Fables prelim that is not just graphite.

Final cover art is 15" x 23", and is interesting in that the top half of the cover is done in acrylic, while the bottom half is graphite.  Some of the artwork for the pictures on the cover is worked out on the back of this piece, and there are a few blank areas on the artwork where these pictures would later be placed in photoshop.
