Fables 48

 Prelims:  each 5.5" x 8.5" on one 8.5" x 11", graphite on bond
Final Cover:  12" x 17", acrylic on Arches WC paper

 The first part of the "Wolves" 2-part story, the prelim for this cover is just loaded with extras!  With thumbnails on the back, and a fairly finished alternate prelim next to the end result, a lot of the creative process unfolds before us one sheet of bond paper.  It's also nice to see James painting again!  The final painting does a fantastic job of capturing the frenetic energy of the events preceding the cover image.
