This cover is notable for one of the smaller details.  Possibly as a response to the censorship of the cover to issue 7, or to see what he could get away with, James tried to sneak a monkey anus into this cover.  As you can tell...he succeeded. 

As with every other prelim I've seen from the first nine issues, this prelim is on the back of a piece of SVA scrap/copy paper.  One of the very few prelims where the logo has been added by hand, this notable exception arose because James' computer was down at the time, and he had to submit the prelim via fax.  Also on the back:  thumbnail sketches for the first TPB cover!
