Fables tpb 4:  march of the wooden soldiers

Prelims:  8.5" x 11", graphite on bond
Final Drawing:  17" x 22", graphite on Rives BFK

Upon comparison of the two prelims, it is easy to see why the second version won out. Given its great sense of design, and ability to tie together elements from the previous covers, the end result is a much more striking and relevant image.
