Giro 2007 Bike Catalog

I know a lot of people were excited to see what James could accomplish by working with ballpoint pen.  This certainly adds a bit more immediacy to the page, and the final result is a drawing with more kinetic energy and a more organic feel than most of James' softer work.  That being said, what most impresses about these pieces is the coloring on the published page.  I love the warm, "late afternoon sunlight" feel elicited by the chosen color palette, and I love the drip and streak effects that add the feeling of speed and motion.  I never thought a bike catalog would get me so excited...but this is spectacular work.
