James' comments, from Wizard magazine #171 (January, 2006):

"Marvel told me very specifically what they wanted with this cover so I had to find a way to make the process interesting for myself, since I usually don't like too much direction.  The large arrows are actually designed to work with the arrows in the Runaways logo."
