James Jean has only been working in comics since 2001, but over that time he has certainly made his mark on the industry.  Winner of four consecutive Eisner Awards for Best Cover Artist (2004-2007) as well as the 2005 and 2006 Harvey Awards for Best Cover Artist (with a nomination for the upcoming 2007 awards) and the 2007 Eagle Award for Best Comic Book Cover (Fables:  1,001 Nights of Snowfall), James is surely running out of space for all of his trophies!  James has worked on such titles as Fables, Batgirl, Green Arrow, and Monolith for DC Comics, as well as Amazing Fantasy and Runaways for Marvel Comics.  He has also done a considerable amount of illustration work for books, records, magazines, etc., and is now spending more time working on his personal paintings for exhibit in fine art galleries (his first solo gallery show will be at the Jonathan Levine Gallery in 2009).  While this website will focus primarily on the original art (and most of this will be comic-related), you should definitely check out James' website if you would like to see more of the beautiful work he has done.
